Word PAGE Sections?

By DMambo ·
I have a long document in which I want to eliminate every other page break. I want to force what would have been the 1st page, which can vary in length, to print in the first 5" of the first sheet. I then want to force the portion that would have been the 2nd page to print from 5" to the bottom of the sheet. And repeat this process throughout the document. Basically, I want to use sections on each page, rather than the whole document. Or set up tab style stops on the vertical ruler. Any help out there??

Sounds like you want to Insert a Continuous Section Break. Continuous means you continue on the same page but the section before the break can have different page setup settings than the section after the break. To accomplish this get rid of your page breaks and place your cursor where you want the break and click your Insert menu > Break > Continuous.

If you want a crash course on Tabs give me your email address and I will send you some pages out of a manual I use to teach tabs.
