Word Perect – “this file is read only”

I currently have two machines that are networked together. One machine is for a full-time receptionist and the other for an assistant. Both computers have Microsoft Word and Wordperfect but the files are all being saved on the receptionist PC. Documents created in Word can be opened and edited on both machines however documents reated in Wordperfect can not be resaved with their original file name on the receptionist PC if you are using the part-time PC. A message saying that the file is read only appears and you can choose to resave the file however it can not be saved anywhere but locally.

Because Microsoft Word files work fine, I believe all the file sharing properties are set correctly. Could it be wordperfect?
