Word Shutting down

Ok here is the deal. One of my users when using a save as command on any word document, She can make changes to the doc when see executes the save as command the document and word just vanish into thin air when word is restarted a recovery document is there but the changes are gone. There are no messages in the event logs. I have reloaded office Xp and the entire machine. The problem goes away for a little while then it returns. Outlook is affected as well it just drops emails into the drafts folder.

Any suggestions. Network is Win 2K AD
