Word2k: Formatting a .TXT file.

By slickforce ·
I usually cut and paste .txt file and .html to word because some of these documents is worth keeping. Oftenly most .txt file has a carriage return at the end of each sentence or they are really long in ONE line.

How can I make it in word 2000 after I copy to word to make it to a paragraph form and omit the carriage return at the end of every line?

This is what I usually do. Use the find and replace option as follows:

1. Ctrl+R
2. More
3. Special
4. In Find Field - [Paragraph Mark (3, click on this option three time (only if that is the number of marks between paragraphs)]
5. In Replace Field - [Paragraph Mark (click on this option once)]
6. Replace All
7. In Find Field - [Paragraph Mark (click on this option once)]
8. In Replace Field - [ENSURE THAT THIS FIELD IS BLANK]
9. Replace All

You should now have a workable paragraph(s)

File menu, Save As, last item in the dialog Save As Type, select Text or DOS Text (without line breaks).
