Would like to know if Everyone has forgotten`

By spiritofthebear ·
It seems to me that maybe everyone has forgotten the point. IT is in all aspects of our lives. Governemnt and personnal.
The thing everyone is forgetting about is that IT is also being used by our Soldiers every day they are away and at war at the orders of our country.
IT continues to progress every day and continues to help our men and women come back home to their families.
I don't know about anyone else out there but I don't think I would have wanted a president in office on 9/11 that would have just sat their and done nothing. Atleast Bush knew what he was sending our soldiers into. You can none of you say that about Clinton or even Obama.
Could any of you have sat where you are today and sent a child or Grand child to school or on a field trip after 9/11 if you had to sit and wonder if where they were going was likely to be bombed?
I couldn't have.
IT is used for training and everything else when it comes to our soldiers and our students now days. Not just certain people or certain things use IT.
All of our IT tech's need to be thanked for the work they continue to do for our people and our country. It is their work that has made it possible for more of our soldiers to come home safe little on come home at all.
We need a president that understands what our soldiers need for this to keep up and for more of our men and women to come home safe.
We don't need a president that doesn't know what our Men and Women of our Military needs. We don't need a president that has never lived as our Soldiers are doing now. We need a president that understands that the advanced in IT Tech will be an advance for our soldiers not just the every day people.

Umm is this a flame, a rant, or some mindless babble about why IT is so important?

Not to sure...

Perhaps its a pro Bush or a pro Obama? Very confusing..

But its obvious that this is not the forum for your concerns.

It was pretty clear

that the poster is NOT pro-Obama.

I wonder if it was meant as a reply to Jasons "which is better" discussion.

Yup. It's an "If he wasn't a G.I., he can't understand" line.

I wish more people had military experience. But, they don't. We're going to have a real dearth of political leaders who ever had the joy of being yelled at by a D.I., or who ever expected that a tour of national service was an ordinary young person's experience.

I wish O had more experience of every kind. But, he doesn't.

If I thought prisoner-of-war experience amounted to foreign policy leadership expertise, I'd be behind McCain.

Maybe he's really for Obama

The soldier thing is pro McCain,
but the IT Tech thing - don't think McCain even gets the 'email thing' or any related topix so that would be a pro- Obama rant.

You've got a screw loose somewhere ...

And your grip on reality is tenuous to say the least.

I could jump in here as an impartial contributor as I have absolutely no axe to grind. However, until I have the first fleeting semblance of WTF you are on about, I will remain on your periphery, which I feel is the only sensible (and SAFE) place to be while you are around.

Perhaps your second post will make sense...

Willfully ignorant

by JamesRL In reply to Would like to know if Eve ...

If you haven't understood Barack's position on 9/11, you have been avoiding it, as I've heard it on every debate and at a few speeches.

Obama was in favour of putting a larger effort into Afghanistan as thats where many people believe was a group more closely tied to Al Quaeda and Bin Laden. Bin Laden and gang lived in Afganistan, with permission of the Taliban government. thats where they lived and planned the 9/11 attacks.

Whats scares me is Obama goes further and as Bush has done with Syria and Pakistan, Obama also wants to do - go into sovereign countries and make air strikes against potential targets. First, this will drive countries like Pakistan, who is supposed to be an ally, against the US, and secondly there is a higher potential for collateral damage in these kinds of operations, again turning ordinary citizens into US hating jihadis.

I think that wasn't what was implied

by jdclyde In reply to Willfully ignorant

it is that Obama has never been in the service, so has no idea what he is subjecting soldiers to.

I do not agree with the idea of military life being a requirement for a President, but I am sure that was more the intent.
