We need to start with SGML right now or First XML then to SGML? Is it a waste of time working with XML,which is to be replced by SGML, Because of the wide spread integration of net.

It does not look as if SGML will be the de facto standard in the immediate future. Therefore the short answer is no, learning XML first would not be considered a waste of time.

That having been said, SGML is pretty powerful and it should not be completely ignored in the meantime.

The answer doesn`t seems to have the complete explanation for the question i had asked for. This is the normal answer anyone can give for this question. but i can asure one think SGML is going to take the charge in one year.
