XP Cursor Position Determines Active Window

By crw3000 ·
If I have more than one window open at a time and the cursor is not positioned in that active window, then I can't type, scroll etc. and it is no longer being recignized as the active window. Has anyone experienced this?

Do you have TweakUI?

If you have TweakUI installed, there is a setting under Mouse, X-Mouse, Activation follows mouse. Remove the check mark. Not sure if there is a built-in way that Windows can do this.

TweakUI is now a separate program and doesn't appear under Control Panel.

I do have the TweakUI program and removed the check as you stated. All is back to normal. Thanks; gralfus
