What media do you plan to use for storing your backup?

If tape, the tape drive may come with software, or you can use the utility that comes with XP.

For CD, you will need a 3rd party solution.

Do NOT use CD-RW disks for anything but incremental backups as they can loose their formatting.

1 3rd party package is Cobian Backup.

Thanks CHAS, I will be using a CD backup.Have been comparing 3rd party software.I need to to easy large backups.I was surprised XP has minimal backup CD-ROM in the Valueadd & Manual Install Backup Utility. I had considered CD-RW (Nero Burn)option as well, did not know about the formatting issue. I will take a look at some trial ware and Cobian as well.
