I have a Sony Vaio PCG-K33, i’ve added two 512 MB PC-2700 DDR 333 chips. The laptop will only recognize them as 256 a piece. I exchanged the ram for the same that was purchased from Newegg. And it they still only read 256 per chip. I’ve checked and my Vaio supports up to 1 gig total and recomends PC-2700 DDR 333. Any suggestions as to why this would be working? If this matters i’m running XP Home. Is this part of the issue?
