xp on a two hundred gig hdd

xp does not recognize 200 gig hdd. it reads it at 131 gig. bios is reading it at 200 gig. how do i get it to correctly? its a wd hdd.

You need Service Pack 1.

The original release of XP has the same 137GB limitation that Windows 98 and Me have.

If you are attempting to install XP onto this hard drive, you need the newer version of XP that includes SP 1 on the CD.

Like TheChas said, you need SP1 for XP to install XP and have it read the whole 200GB drive.
Now, if your XP cd does not have SP1 already on it, you can make your own. You can "slipstream" SP1 onto a Gold copy of XP, then use that version to do your install.
