XP Password Removal

have forgotten the administrator password for winxp.any way to remove the password without formatting the windows / repairing windows??

Go into Safe Mode, the log in using the
Default Administrator's logon, now reset the windows password to anything you like - but be warned, it may be a good idea to write it down somewhere just in case you forget it again.

Even if the individual is merely experiencing a senior moment and has legitimately forgotten the pass, we can never know that. So no one gets the answer. But we sure repeat it often enough!
