Hi, has anyone seen problems opening spreadsheets from a Netware server using Windows Explorer? We are using Office 97. All the other PC’s do fine but the XP Pro’s often get a message that the file is in use and they can open Read Only. If they open and close it, they can open it regular the next time. It never happens from within Excel using File-Open. We’ve put SP1 on the PC’s. Also tried with the MS for Netware as well as client 4.83sp1 from Novell. Also tried Novell’s beta client and a patch for opening multiple files. We can duplicate the problem on Netware 5, 3.12, and 4.11 servers.
Any thoughts?
