XP PRO, PWS. website to publishing

By f-38165 ·
Using Windows XP Pro. I need to know the what and how to getting a website established, using FP 2002 and FRONT PAGE Extensions.

I have created a form in FP 2002 and when I publish it, I get successfully published to c:\inetpub\wwwroot.

When I try to enter data in the form and SUBMIT, it comes back with " you need to publish to a website that has extentions associated with it"??

I am missing some step somewhere. My drive is FAT 32 VERSUS NTFS. Is that a problem?

What is need is the procedure which gives me a detailed idea of how to proceed. I understand PHB may be an answer, but before I go there I want to understand why my current efforts are not working. Under WIN 98, pws was a snap. Under IIS is not

Thanks

you need to install the FrontPage server extentions on the IIS machine (web server). you can download them at http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/languages/fp/2000/winfpse.asp
are you saying you have done this and you are still getting the error message?
btw, i believe you may mean php, when you said phb...
