xp user login page popups like a screensaver

By jimandmary125 ·
I have a Win XP home OS. It
was working normally until I installed a
7360 HP Photosmart printer. Then I began having the user logon screen popup,just like a screensaver, after about 10 minutes. I updated the HP drivers from their site.
Still have the problem. Any suggestions how to correct?

If the Windows logon screen is popping up after 10mins of being idle, then there is a setting you can change, I was a victim of this and after a while of searching I found the answer.
---> Click on Start
---> Go to Control Panel
---> if you are using Classic View - Go to Administrative Tools
---> if you are using Category View - Go to "Performance & Maintenance" then Administrative Tools
---> Go to "Local Security Policy"
---> Double Click on "Local Policies"
---> Then double click on "Security Policys"
---> Scroll down to "Microsoft Network Server: Amount of time required before suspending session" - Double Click on this
---> Edit the amount to "0" and click Apply then OK.

You will most likely need to restart before them changes become effective.

Hope this helps mate
