yahoo messenger

hi my yahoo messenger constantly puts out a link to websites automatically during chat sessions these links are usually to some islamic site or to a french siteis there anything i can do to get rid of it? i’ve tried to reinstall yahoo messenger and i even updated o the latest version but it still happens
i even tried to find it in the registry but no luck.short of a reformat of my drive what can i do?
