Zip file size limits

It seems that winzip 8 has a maximum output file size of 4Gb.

Can anyone suggest any alternatives without this limit? Splitting into multiple archives defeats the object of what I'm trying to do. Compression is less important than an archive capability - but both would be nice.

NT4 is the OS

I could do it on *ix ...

PKZip 5 claims to have conquered the 4GB limit.

Thanks Chas - that's saved me some research time ...

It's even got a command line interface which is exactly what I'm after
