.zipx attachments/emails not being delivered

We are unable to receive emails that have .zipx attachments. As soon as the attachment is removed the emails come through. Also if attachment is used all is okay (we receive the email).
We are running GFI mail essentials v14.
The sender is whitelisted in GFI.

We are also running Trend Worry Free Business Security on exchange 2003. Zipped attachments are not blocked.
Does anyone have any other suggestions to allow the .zipx files to come through?

update of situation

I found with more investigation that Trend found it using Unscannable Message Filter and deleted the entire email.
This is because the .zipx file was password protected (which i forgot to mention in my initial post, sorry).
Once the password is removed the attachment and email was delivered.
