A clean sweep of the Headless Horseman for Technologia

As we showed you earlier, the Hallow’s End celebration in the World of Warcraft is a major game-world-wide event. This year’s celebration saw the introduction of the Headless Horseman and several quests involving his tragic story. Technologia gathered together a raid group and headed to the Scarlet Monastery to end the Headless Horseman’s reign of terror.

The Scarlet Monastery in the World of Warcraft is a large instanced dungeon for players around level 30-35.

We were able to gather eight Technologia players for the event.

The Jack-o-lantern starts the event.

The Headless Horseman springs out of a grave behind the Jack-o-lantern and flies around on his horse taunting us with bad poetry.
Prepare for a long fight
Prepare for a long fight
The fight with the Headless Horseman lasts around 15 minutes. The event is really a series of fights involving the body of the horseman and then his wayward head.
Once he is defeated, the group gets to loot some cool things off his body. There are pieces of armor, rings, and a flying broomstick.

Elkwinkarma got one of the lesser flying broomsticks. It will only last to the end of Hallow’s End and then disappear.

Not really flying
The flying broomstick is basically a land mount without legs and not really a flying mount. That means that “flying” off a cliff actually translates to falling off a cliff. Elk was very disappointed.

The Hallow’s End events this year in the World of Warcraft were well done and I think the Technologia Guild enjoyed the experience. More holiday events are coming soon and we are looking forward to it.
