[No Text - Click To Edit]Recently, some representatives from Verizon stopped by the TechRepublic offices to gives us a sneak peak at several new phones the company is introducing during the holiday season. One of the phones we looked at was the Blackberry Pearl. The Blackberry Pearl is familiar to many users as a cell phone / e-mail reader. We should get a good look at the Verizon Wireless version of the Blackberry Pearl before the end of the year. Until then, we snuck in a few snapshots of the this phone for a First Look Gallery.

Blackberry from Rimm
Physically, the Verizon version of the Blackberry Pearl is about the same.
-
Thin
-
Micro SD
With a Micro SD Flash memory card you can memory to the Blackberry Pearl.
-
GPS
A common theme of the Verizon phones we saw was the inclusion of GPS.
-
Two megapixel
The Blackberry Pearl includes a two megapixel camera.
-
Give it back
We didn't get to keep this one, but we hope to have a review model shortly.
-
QWERTY
A small but full QWERTY keyboard.
-
Battery life
One thing we would like to test is the battery life.
-
A nice size screen
The screen is a good size and clear. Personally, I would prefer a different font -- I'm sure that is adjustable.
-
Oodles of Icons
The Blackberry Pearl includes just about any application you can imagine for a phone.
-
Music
You can also play music.
-
Ring tones
I am not a big fan of fancy ring tones, but some are and appreciate a large selection.
-
Video
The screen can show video.
