Recently, some representatives from Verizon stopped by the TechRepublic offices to give us a sneak peak at several new phones the company is introducing during the holiday season. The first phone we looked at was the Juke, which just recently went on sale. The new Juke cell phone / mp3 player from Verizon is a stylish gadget — we are looking forward to reviewing a working unit for a few days. However, in the meantime, we did manage to get a few pictures of the sample phone the Verizon reps brought with them.

The screen in the Juke is very small but still clear. You won’t be watching movies on it, but you can see you is calling you.

The Juke is about the right size for dialing with one hand – an important feature when on the go.

The Verizon Juke has plenty of features including productivity apps like a calendar. I was surprised to find out that it has GPS too.

The shiny piece on the back of the phone is for self-portraits — or at least that is what the reps told us.

The Verizon Juke seems to fit the phone/mp3 niche — when I get one to test I’ll post some observations in the Practical Gadgetry Blog.
