The ASUS Eee Model 901 with a 20GB solid state hard drive is an ultra-portable PC-like device. It is designed to be used for Web surfing, e-mailing, and light productivity. As a PC-like device it is quite capable. This ASUS Eee is destined to be Cracked Open, but we wanted to give you a quick look before we submit it to the screwdriver.

Vincent Danen reviewed the ASUS Eee 900 and found the device to be a good option for a lightweight laptop.

The Eee 901 comes with its own handy carrying bag. And while that is very nice of ASUS, the lack of straps means for traveling it is a bag you put inside a real bag.

You can see the other USB port and the connection for an Ethernet cable. There is also a microphone and headphone jack. With the built-in camera, the ASUS Eee makes a capable Skype device.
