Former glory: Red hot mobile apps we don’t use anymore

Flappy Bird
Just a few short months ago, everyone was talking about the ridiculously simple (yet fairly difficult) game that involved flying a bird between pipes. Now it’s one more ephemeral cultural artefact from the 10 seconds the internet got obsessed with it.
Draw Something
In the way that Words with Friends transferred Scrabble to mobile phones, Draw Something did something similar with Pictionary.
Clear
This simple to-do list app was all the rage among productivity-aholics when it launched. It made tech news earlier in the year for going on the app store for free for a few days, but also causing some confusion when the paid app was briefly still available.
iTether
The app caused a bit of a stir when it was originally pulled from the app store, and then later relaunched for a fee of $30 a year.
SpringPad
While this note taking app had more than 5 million users, it just shuttered on June 25, 2014.
Words with Friends
Maybe you still play with that aunt to only talk to occasionally, but the days of juggling double digital games faded before Alec Baldwin got busted for refusing to stop playing it on an airplane.
