Microsoft says that the new Internet Explorer 8 browser, available for download on Thursday, is faster, more secure, and easier to use. It also adds a new private browsing feature.\n\n

IE8 includes a feature that keeps your browsing private – sort of.
IE8 will block your personal information being sent to certain Web sites.
IE8 will provide search suggestions (right).
The browser will automatically block sites that have been identified as being unsafe.
With Web slice, you can keep up with frequently updated sites through the new Favorites bar. When a site that you are tracking updates, a green icon will appear in the upper-right corner of your browser.
