An HD DVD drive built for the Xbox 360 sits atop the game console. Microsoft isn’t saying how much it will charge for the external drive, which is scheduled to go on sale during the holiday season.
Microsoft’s HD DVD drive for the Xbox could be one of the least expensive HD DVD players on the market, according to Collins. Unlike DVDs, HD DVDs allow users to watch two video clips simultaneously.
