Windows Mobile 6.5 was just recently announced and with that announcement came the launch of several devices running the latest operating system. The Samsung Intrepid is a touchscreen device with a forward facing QWERTY keyboard, similar to a BlackBerry device. The device supports Sprint’s 3.5G EV-DO network, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and various services. A 3.2 megapixel camera is also included.
Samsung Intrepid and Palm Treo Pro
Both of these are QWERTY devices with touchscreen displays. The Intrepid has a more functional QWERTY keyboard.
Intrepid QWERTY keyboard
The keyboard is well designed and allows for quick text entry.
Directional pad
The directional pad is large and has a brushed silver center action button.
Camera and speaker
A 3.2 megapixel camera and phone speaker are found at the top of the back.
3.5mm headset jack
I was pleased to see that a 3.5mm headset jack is used rather than a Samsung port. The 3.5mm jack is hidden under a durable door.
Stylus silo and camera button
I haven’t seen a side stylus silo, but it seems to be a good spot for it on the Intrepid.
Stylus removal
The stylus is metal and plastic and telescopes out to considerable length.

Here you can see the length of the stylus on the Intrepid.

The microUSB port is used for syncing and charging.
