The TSA has started a new program that allows compliant laptop bags to pass through the X-ray security system without being removed from the bag. These bags should be popular with frequent travelers and so far the TSA seems to be accepting of compliant bags.

The Aerovation logo appears on the outside of the bag.

On the side of the bag away from the laptop area is a large flap to store cables and chargers.

Handles and strap

There are two comfortable carrying handles and an adjustable shoulder strap to carry the bag and your gear.

The two pieces of the case are securely held together by the two rings on each case that are joined together by the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap is an essential part of the system.

Here you can see one of the three velcro strips that are used to hold the two pieces of the case together.

This is how you would separate the two parts held by velcro. You can see they are still attached by the loops and should strap. I used a 3rd party Skooba strap because I find it to be more comfortable.

You can also completely separate the two pieces and here you can see the velcro on each side.

You will see the logo and a note inside the laptop side. There is a large velcro strap that also holds your laptop in place in the case.

Each piece of the case has a single hand strap. Both held together work well to carry everything.

Inside the main part of the bag you will find a large zippered pocket (I carried 6 mobile phone in it), several small pockets and pen/pencil holder, as well as a large open area to store all your gear. This part of the case may need to be opened by TSA, depending on what you store in here.
