Evernote is a mobile application/service designed to capture notes, audio recording, and images of anything you want to later remember and access. Their amazing recognition technology allows you to search for text in images you capture and in handwritten notes so you always have ready access to information you need. Evernote is available for free across multiple platforms and this latest BlackBerry client lets you easily create and access notes on the go.
This is the main Evernote display you see when you launch Evernote on your BlackBerry device.
This shows how the Evernote mobile page appears in your web browser when you select to view your notes. You can also search notes from within this page.
Pressing the BB menu button brings up these options on the home screen of Evernote.
You can search for notes in your vicinity using the GPS receiver in your BlackBerry device.
Within settings you have the option to select how notes appear (thumbnails, list, details), how many notes appear on each page (10, 25, 50, or 100), the order in which they appear (created date, updated date, or relevance), and view the stats for your account information (total notes, monthly allowance, current usage).
You can enter a note title, note content, select a notebook, and add tags to your notes in Evernote.
The first time you select a Snapshot note you are presented with this pop-up that has information and directions for capturing an image note.
After taking the photo you can then add all the same content to it like you see in the Text Note form.
You must change your settings to allow permission to record audio within Evernote. This option is found in your BlackBerry settings.
A simple audio recorder lets you capture voice notes in Evernote.
You can play and listen to your audio note or re-record it using these controls.
Like the other note options you can add lots of details to your Audio Note to help with future access and searchability.
You can upload a file and add details to attachment notes in Evernote for the BlackBerry.
Again, the standard note entry form appears after you select a file to upload.
