OtterBox is known for their protective case designs and they recently released a couple of products for the iPhone 3G and 3GS that offer protection with style. These two cases use the best of silicone with a touch plastic protective shell. Each case comes with a screen cover to protect the front of the iPhone while the case protects the sides and back.

You will find a screen protector inside, along with an application card and simple directions. The screen protector is self adhesive and easy to install.
An inner silicone piece fits over your iPhone, with a hard plastic shell covering the back and sides.
The case adds very little to the iPhone so you don’t sacrifice much in size to use the case.
An OtterBox logo appears on the back. There is an opening for the Apple logo on the back as well.
A rubber plug fits over the 3.5mm headset jack to prevent dust and dirt from penetrating into the open port.
There is an opening for the ringer switch and rubber protrusions allow you to control the volume through the case.
There is a large rubber plug that fits over the bottom iPhone connection port. As you can see there are also openings for the speakers on the bottom.

The back shows the front of the iPhone in the case and lists the features of the case.
The Commuter TL Series also has a silicone piece and plastic piece. The review unit was clear and black, while there will soon be 7 available color options for your iPhone 3G/3GS.
One reason I like the Commuter TL over the Commuter Series is the protective plastic cover over the Apple logo. I don’t want my casing scratched at all so want this covered up.
