Waterfield Designs Asus EeePC and Kindle cases
Waterfield Designs makes some of the best carrying cases I have ever tried. In my search for a case for my Fujitsu U810 UMPC I discovered a couple that fit and one that also fits another new device I plan to purchase soon.
U810 in Kindle case with open flap
The U810 fits into the Amazon Kindle case fine on the sides and matches perfectly.
Closed flap on the Kindle case
The U810 does fit into the case, but the flap doesn’t quite close all the way due to the lump of the battery. It does overlap the velcro by about 3/4 of an inch though so it is held in place securely.
Side view of the U810 in the Kindle case
You can see how far out the U810 protrudes out of the Kindle case.
Back of the Kindle case
The back of the Kindle case has a flap so you can carry extra flat accessories with the Fujitsu U810.
Placing the U810 into the Asus EeePC case
There is plenty of room around the sides of the U810 in the Asus case as seen from above.
Closed Asus case with U810 inside
As you can see the Asus EeePC case fully encloses the U810. There is actually about 1 inch of extra room on top of the U810 in the case.
The case closes around the U810
The velcro strap keeps the U810 securely in place in the case, but there is some slack room on the sides. You can also carry an extra battery in the case if you use this case with the U810.
Waterfield Asus case and REDFLY Mobile Companion
After getting a REDFLY device to try out, I decided to try the Asus EeePC case since the REDFLY seemed to be about the same size as the Asus EeePC.
The REDFLY fits in perfectly
As you can see from the top view, the REDFLY fits right into the Waterfield Designs Asus EeePC case.
Front view and closed flap of the case
The Asus EeePC case is a perfect fit for the REDFLY and Waterfield Designs can add the REDFLY to the list of compatible devices.
