Nokia unveils Internet tablet with WiMAX

Nokia N810 WiMax Edition
Nokia introduces its first Internet tablet device that is equipped to use WiMAX Internet connections–the N810 Internet Tablet. The new device comes with a 4.13-inch touch screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It can also be used to send instant messages and connecting to VoIP phone services. The N810 WiMAX Edition comes with an integrated media player and 2 GB of internal memory. It is expandable to a full 10 GB of memory by adding a microSD memory card.rn

WiMAX will extend the range of the Nokia tablet and will be able to use 10 Mbps download speeds and 2-4 Mbps upload speeds, according to Nokia.

Nokia’s new device is expected to be available during the summer of 2008 where WiMAX access is available. Nokia did not give a suggested price.
