opensuse 11.1 Problems with Nomad
By default, the Nomad remote access isn’t set up correctly. You need to install the XRDP server for it to work, and you need a 32-bit (24-bit with alpha channel) X.org driver for your graphics card with compositing extensions enabled on the Linux client.

Here’s Nomad when it’s working. I’m connected to a RDP 5 session on an Amazon compute cluster set up by Novell.
Nomad working on XP SP 3 with RDP 6 Client
Nomad works with the Windows XP or Vista RDP 6 client. The old Remote Desktop Connection client won’t work.
Default firewall settings blocks SAMBA
Many services don’t work on OpenSUSE out of the box, such as SAMBA. The default firewall settings are very aggressive, so you might want to turn it off at first. SAMBA’s smbd and nmbd also needs to be enabled as well.
