The popularity of software startups means that hardware startups often get left behind. Here are 10 startups building useful tools, interesting gadgets, and exciting products.

 Voltera is essentially a 3D printer for circuit boards, allowing quick prototyping with conductive ink and solder. The product is already massively over-funded on Kickstarter, and the campaign is still ongoing.

Navdy is a transparent heads up display (HUD) system for your smartphone in your car. The device projects notifications in front of the driver and allows them to respond with voice commands or gestures. According to Navdy’s website, the product will be shipping in 2015.
