Kevin Mitnick (right) spends a lot of his time at speaking engagements these days. At a SupportSoft user event on Thursday in San Francisco, he discussed hacking and social engineering during a session with Eric Schultze (center), chief security architect of Shavlik Technologies. The session was moderated by Dave Margulius (left), technlology analyst and consultant at Enterprise Insight.
Mitnick works on one of his two notebook computers. This one runs Windows and is secured with software including PGP disk encryption, ZoneAlarm firewall and PestPatrol anti-spyware, Mitnick said. His other laptop is an Apple Computer PowerBook.
