SyntaxBrillian launched its new Olevia 5-series LCD TVs at the conference. The 532H, shown here, has a 32-inch screen, a combination ATSC and NTSC tuner, and video resolution up to 1080i. The HDTV is available now for $999.

SyntaxBrillian's 65-inch LCoS Rear-Projection TV makes a cameo appearance at the DisplaySearch conference, though it won't be for sale until late 2006 or early 2007. LCoS, or liquid crystal on silicon, is a micro-display technology that uses reflection off of liquid crystals to create an image in rear- and front-projection displays. SyntaxBrillian has not yet announced pricing on this model.
