Who says hardware is just about chips? Gibson Guitar this year again exhibited at Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Engineering Conferencernin Seattle. Its booth drew a crowd of music enthusiasts.

This year, like last, Microsoft is calling on hardware makers to develop 64-bit drivers for their products. While 32-bit software will work with 64-bit Windows, 32-bit drivers won’t.

At times, the gaming competition sponsored by chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices drew large crowds and offered a nice break from highly technical WinHEC sessions.
