Proxmox uses an embedded Java applet to display VNC console output from the VMs.

Here are all my VM’s running and how they impact the system. Notice my Centos5 is a container VE running on OpenVZ, not a fully virtualized guest. This is much more efficient in terms of processor, memory and disk usage.

As you can see although I have allocated 2GB of RAM for CentOS, its not really taking up a lot of system resources.
