Tech Ed 2006: Goodie Bag

  • Tech Ed 2006 and Tech Ed 2005 Attendee bags

The Tech Ed 2006 attendee bag is more streamlined and compact than the 2006 bag, which I like. Unfortunately, carrying a laptop and the accompanying gadgets and cables makes it a tight fit.

  • Broken Clasp on my Tech Ed 2005 bag

My only real complaint about the Tech Ed 2005 bag is that shortly after receiving ht bag, both clasps that hold the laptop flap closed broke.

I‘m glad to have an install DVD for Windows Server Loghorn Beta 2, but the software was released last month. Not a great conference get.

I‘m not sure what‘s on these DVDs. I‘ll have to find out before deciding to cart them home or not.

  • Magazines

Does anyone ever read the magazines they put in conference bags? I never do. This year our bags contained copies of TechNet Magazine, SQL Server Magazine, and MSDN Magasine.

  • More marketing material

It seems that every vendor wants to give you a chance to win something so you‘ll stop by their expo booth. Perhaps if they had a really great product that you were interested in, you would stop by on your own.
