Technologia: A first look at Silvermoon and the Blood Elves
One of the best reasons for experienced World of Warcraft players to buy the Burning Crusade expansion pack is the introduction of a new race — they call themselves Blood Elves. For those of us playing mostly on the Horde side of things, these are the first attractive characters we have been able to play. That is unless of course you have a thing for the Undead.
Not wanting to miss an in-game experience I created a Blood Elf hunter named Kenirk. Here are just some of the sights you will see in and around the new capitol city of Silvermoon.
A major theme of the Burning Crusade are crystals and the power they hold. Underneath this crystal is a neverending party of social-climbing Blood Elves. You can join the party if you gather some party supplies for the host.
But don’t bother — it is one boring party.
Questing in the Blood Elf starting area benefits from the maturity of the World Warcraft development team. Finding something to do is never a problem in this area.
This acolyte needs some help energizing his rune stones.
The Blood Elves like their statues. As you can see, they are much more attactive then Orcs, Trolls, Undead, and Taurens.
But that’s okay — we can’t all be perfect.
A typical street corner in Silvermoon City. Navigation in this city can be a bit confusing, but after spending some time their, you will find your way.The gurards are always willing to offer directions.
This is one of the fountains located in the Bazaar area of Silvermoon City. You can just about everything your character needs when it comes to armor, weapons, and sustenance.
This is upstairs in one of the inns located in Silvermoon City. The plush decorations seem a little decadent for a supposedly war ravaged race. I guess Blood Elves like their creature comforts.
I wonder if Kenirk can find some temporary companionship here — perhaps looks are decieving.
This creature is under lock and key, but I could find no explanation of his crime. He is of the same race as the creature in Outland — there is a story here, I just have to uncover it.
