TechRepublic's camera phone challenge: Sunrise / sunset

  • Just north of Lindsay, Ontario, Canada

    We challenged the TechRepublic community to submit their camera phone photos of the sunrise or sunset.

    The 1st place photo was taken by TR member liznkev with a BlackBerry Bold 9700.

    She said, "The site is our cottage just north of Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. The odd time I get to stay at the cottage during the week, and this particular morning it was clear and cool and the sunrise was beautiful. I was really happy with the image and am happy to share it."

    The 2nd place photo was taken by TR member clairmontecharles with an iPhone 4 at dawn on Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Florida.

  • Misty morning

    This photo, which tied for 3rd place, was taken by TR member pacfreeman with a Nokia N95 8GB. The location is Caversham Bridge in Reading, looking downstream on a very misty morning in February.

  • Sunset at Santa Rosa Sound in Mary Esther, Florida

    The other photo that tied for 3rd place was taken by TR member Dberry28 with a 3G iPhone. It shows the Santa Rosa Sound in Mary Esther, Florida at sunset from the Hurlburt Field Soundside Dock.

  • Overlooking Lake Michigan

    We also awarded a 4th place with this photo by helpdeskmandy, which was taken with a BlackBerry Storm, model 9530. The scene overlooks Lake Michigan in Spring Lake, MI.
