    THE BENEFITS

Many industry players, both large and small, have backed the Open RAN movement, and considering the potential benefits, it’s easy to see why. Standardizing Open RAN architecture would offer a wide range of advantages.

    More flexibility

Interoperability would greatly diminish the limitations on operators, which would, of course, mean an increase in flexibility. Open RAN would open the door to new possibilities of ways to develop networks. Combining components into new networks could prompt innovative ideas for creating and enhancing networks.

Flexibility would not just mean more freedom to develop new networks but also allow for greater market resilience. Operators would be able to access a greater range of supplies and be better prepared to respond to industry changes, consumer trends, and regulatory adjustments. With more possibilities at their fingertips, tasks like ensuring scalability and carrying out maintenance would require less time, money, and effort.
