Nano technology is enabling the development of devices and systems at nanoscale level. Nano-sensors constitute one of the key applications of nanotechnology. Communication among nano-sensors will enhance the capabilities of individual nano-sensors. Wireless Nano-Sensor Network (WNSN) is a collection of nano-sensors with communication capabilities. WNSNs have many biomedical, environmental, industrial and military applications. This paper provides a short review of the basic concepts and applications of WNSNs. Nano-communication challenges and their possible solutions are also listed.
