Networks that support the ad hoc architecture are typically called wireless ad hoc networks or Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET) these two terms are used interchangeably. Such networks are typically assumed to be self-forming and self healing. This paper aims to simulate the wireless ad hoc network using NS2 simulator. The authors simulate the network which uses AODV as routing protocol and finds the network parameter values and the performance of the AODV protocol is measured.
