Review of PCA, LDA and LBP algorithms used for 3D Face Recognition

In this paper, the authors discuss some of the popular face recognition algorithms. Face recognition is widely used biometric technique at many places like international airports, gaming industries and commercial places. Normally face recognition process is divided in three phases first is face detection, second is feature extraction from input face image and last is face recognition. This paper concentrates on the feature extraction process from facial images which is main part of recognition procedure. They discuss here, about the popular feature extraction algorithms Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) and Local Binary Patterns (LBPs).
