Wireless mesh network is the emerging to be the dominant technology for next generation wireless networking as it is advantageous over other wireless technologies. Load balancing mechanism at router level is essential for wireless mesh network in configuring and maintaining the topology of the network. The performance of network paths is governed by routing metrics. In this paper, the authors aim at presenting the review of various techniques used for router level load balancing in wireless mesh network.
