Motorola’s new Moto Watch Ultra goes on sale Sept. 10 for $349.99 through Motorola.com, with Verizon adding the watch Sept. 24 and T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile, and Consumer Cellular following in the coming months.
The launch returns Motorola to Wear OS and gives the company its first Moto Watch with LTE eSIM support. Compared with the standard Moto Watch released earlier this year, the Ultra adds Google apps and standalone connectivity, but rated battery life falls from up to 13 days to up to two days.

Each Watch Ultra ships with both a silicone and leather strap. In its hands-on, Android Police priced a 45mm LTE Pixel Watch 5 at $530 before adding an extra leather band, putting Motorola’s $349.99 package well below that configuration.
Wear OS 6 and Polar health tracking
Motorola’s launch announcement says Wear OS 6 brings Google Play, Google Wallet, Maps, Messages, YouTube Music, and Gemini to the Watch Ultra. The 46mm stainless steel watch also includes dual-band GPS, IP68 protection, 5ATM water resistance, and a 1.5-inch pOLED display rated at up to 2,700 nits.
Health and fitness tracking uses Polar’s platform rather than Fitbit or Samsung Health. Nightly Recharge combines sleep and recovery data, Sleep Plus Stages tracks light, deep, and REM sleep, and Serene provides guided breathing with biofeedback. Activity tracking and an on-wrist Running Coach round out the main fitness tools.
Polar integration gives the Watch Ultra a different health approach from the Pixel Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch9, but its performance on Motorola’s hardware has not yet been established by independent testing. Buyers prioritizing health-tracking accuracy should keep that limitation in mind.
The Watch Ultra uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Motorola rates its 550mAh battery for up to two days of active use with the always-on display off, while a 15-minute charge is rated to provide up to 24 hours.
Motorola Qira is available alongside Gemini, but it requires a compatible Motorola phone and a Moto ID for full AI access.
Moto Watch Ultra price, LTE and software support
The Watch Ultra comes in one 46mm size and accepts standard 22mm bands. LTE supports calls, messages, and notifications without a phone nearby when an eligible cellular plan is active. Carrier fees, plan requirements, and availability vary.
Verizon will begin carrying the watch September 24, followed by T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile, and Consumer Cellular in the coming months. Motorola has not provided specific launch dates or eSIM pricing for those later carriers.
The $349.99 price also comes with some hardware compromises against newer Wear OS rivals. The Watch Ultra uses Gorilla Glass 3 and 32GB of storage, while the Pixel Watch 5 offers 64GB and newer hardware. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch9 uses the newer Snapdragon Wear Elite platform.
Motorola says the Watch Ultra will receive two OS upgrades, giving buyers a defined software support commitment. It ships with Wear OS 6, while Wear OS 7 has already begun rolling out to eligible Pixel Watches with Live Updates, connected-device controls, and system optimizations Google says can improve battery life by up to 10%.
Independent reviews have not yet established the Watch Ultra’s real-world battery life, GPS accuracy, or health-tracking performance. At launch, its clearest advantages are the $349.99 price, LTE, two included straps, standard band support, Wear OS apps, and Polar fitness tools.
