? on Using Windows API to encrypt info

By Mike7_7 ·
duid anyone give this a shot? I tried to get this working and ran into problems on the following constants/variables:

contextHandle,
MS_DEF_PROV,
PROV_RSA_FULL
CALG_MD5,
HP_HASHSIZE

I am somewhat new to VB, so I am not sure if i should be assigning these values somewhere first, or if i should have them as constants somewhere. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Mike

Ok, I haven't done much with Crypto, but I'll give this a shot. You're doing this with C or VB? Let me know which and I might be able to give some more specific answers.

contextHandle is probably going to be a long variable, probably set by whatever function initializes the Crypto API.

The others will probably be constants. If you have VC++ installed, look around in the header files for them, or try looking them up in the API Text viewer for a VB declare statement.
