0 raid array freeze during boot

By clamdigger ·
Howdy all.
I have a 0 raid array with 2 maxtor 233gig SATA hard drives. I originally built this rig for gaming, and it has always been a very fast accessing machine. The 0 raid array really lets me zone quickly in online MMOs, and I have enjoyed that a lot. But recently I did a defrag, and something got messed up during the process. For a while I couldnt get it so see anything in BIOS. Normally, it never really saw the hard drives in BIOS for some reason, just the CD roms. It only saw the hardrives under certain areas of BIOS, or in the raid menu. I used another disk with a raid set up program, I think it was silicon image, but cant find that disk. I can still access a raid set up menu, I dont use the nvidia one in BIOS, its the one installed from that disk when it boots and gives you a prompt. I messed around with it and got it to see things like it was before, but when I try to boot it hangs right after the first big check list. The only thing I think might be a problem, is when I first built this PC I didnt change the total memory on the raid to 233[they are 233gig drives each], Im new to raid arrays and I left it at the total amount which was 467 I think. I want to try and recover but when I try and reinstall windows it says it cant see any hard drives. Any recommendations on getting it to work again so I can save everything or am I out of luck ?
Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance for any help.
