Thanks for reading this — it’s my first time here.
Recently I had my laptop repaired – the plug was loose.
When i got it back yesterday (7-11-07) i had a NEW problem.
When i powered it on, instead of going to the login screen, a text
only screen came in (kinda looking like old school DOS) with all the
specs of my cpu.
the last lines read:
ERROR
0211: Keyboard error
Press
when i pressed F1 [which worked FINE – as well as some other
buttons i tried in Setup — w/o changing a thing mind you] it went to
my log in screen.
BUT I COULDN’T TYPE MY PASSWORD OR ANYTHING
so i opened it up yesterday, and unplugged and replugged the
keyboard in.
powered it back up, and got the same screen message, but when i
pressed F1 – it went to my login screen and everything was AOK.
i turned it off at the end of the day and everything was fine.
this morning, the same pattern of events, but this time i could NOT
type at all on the login screen.
in SETUP – all the buttons seems to work.
but when i get to the login screen after i hit F1 – NOTHING ON THE
KEYBOARD WORKS
What the Hay? makes no sense to me.
I need help — and bad!!!!
please? someone rescue me!
