1 key copy

By HBB ·
I do a lot of copy/paste.
Is there a way to program the F11 key to do the same as the Ctrl+C and the F12 key to do the same as Ctrl+V.
In other words 1 key for copy and 1 ley for paste.
this would need to be available for all applications

Many thanks

That sounds like the old DOS programs that I used to use.

If you're using your left hand, pinky + index finger, why would you need one key?

Having 2 keys makes it less likely to accidentally force either a copy or paste.

The only way I could think of a solution would be to do up a program that runs in the background to capture the F11 key being pressed and know to copy the data that you have selected then to capture the F12 key when pressed so it knows to paste. Unless somewhere in XP you can change the codecs to the key map configuration. Don't forget that in Explorer F11 makes the screen full screen.

Kind Regards,
Jim
