Okay, it’s following a common theme, I know but I think the bias should be aired to see how relevant such lists are to begin with.
10: Linux users want to be seen as higher society, out of the mainstream and unique.
9: Linux users have an need to support their OS choice, especially when a new OS is released, to;
a) retain the nearly non existent customer base
b) pull those still on the fence into trying Linux instead of a new Windows flavour.
8: Linux isn’t very entertaining, you need to do something when bored of entering command strings
7: It makes them think that others listen to them for advice on an OS choice.
6: It’s Linux, they should have had a parrot logo for he amount of repetetive, outdated reasons they have.for using Linux that don’t apply to modern OS’s. Linux would be quickly forgotten without the parrots
7: Mom said their 386 is fine and, just because all the other kids have better PC’s, it doesn’t mean THEY have to jump off the bridge too. (now eat your potatoes!)
6: When you have no social life and no skills beyond ‘penguin commands’, you need a little something to make you feel mainstream and included again.
5: Some people actually think being a geek is a good thing, they need to think they are an elite club that only geeks would join and others are mere n00bs.
4: Now that security and viruses are not such a horrific issue with Windows, they need to wave their penguin flippers a bit more often in order to not be forgotten.
3: Their secret world has been taken over by those who have the income and resources to buy higher end hardware, so Windows runs well for most people now.
2: Linux no longer has much of an edge on Windows in most cases of speed and stability. They can’t be forgotten.
And the numer one reason Linux users hate Windows users:
Linux conventions are the only place they could possibly justify wearing a tuxuedo (or more commonly, a tuxuedo t-shirt).
